Prepare Flavorful, Healthy Meals with Cooking Classes from Simply Infused

Ever dreamed of traveling to Italy, exploring the streets of Rome, eating fine Italian cuisine? Simply Infused in Mt Laurel brings you a little closer to that dream. An olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room, Simply Infused offers weekly cooking classes that give you a taste of fine dining and teach you how to bring that flavor home. From tips on where and how to shop for the best ingredients, to using simple oils and vinegars to add robust flavors to traditional dishes, these classes offer it all.

“Our slogan is ‘Infusing Life with Health and Happiness’ because we want our customers to slow down, and enjoy healthy and flavorful meals with their families,” says Simply Infused owner Cheryl Harper. Focused on training and researching blending techniques, Harper has significant time traveling to groves and other olive oil shops to bring the best and most fresh oil and vinegar blends to the Mt Laurel community—a contribution that’s important to this resident of Mt Laurel for more than 12 years.

The last cooking class hosted at Simply Infused was taught by Chef Criss Smiley, Executive Chef at the DoubleTree Hotel, who specializes in Mediterranean food and ingredients. Providing details on the origin of unique Italian meats and cheeses, how they are processed, where to find them, and pricing variations, Smiley covered it all in this two-hour class. From Bresaola, made from rear cuts of beef, mixed with salt, cinnamon, cloves, garlic, rosemary, bay leaves, and more, to the rare and unique buffalo cheese, made from water buffalo milk, Smiley’s culinary protégés got a real taste of Italy.

Additionally, the class covered various oils and vinegars that can make any meal more savory. Including using a balsamic vinegar to flavor champagne, and a dessert that infuses raspberries with a chocolate balsamic vinegar and homemade whip cream. With detailed steps from the best Birmingham chefs, learn how to pair ingredients, store foods, and present the most elegant dishes.

With the holiday season quickly approaching, Simply Infused in Mt Laurel offers unique gift ideas, including cooking classes and olive oil and vinegar blends that will enliven their taste buds. The next time you’re on the way to visit friends or family, Harper suggests this: “If you bring a bottle of wine, they’ll enjoy it that night. If you bring a pair of olive oil and unique blend of vinegars, they’ll enjoy it for a lot longer.”
